The forest is the main biome in which the player always appears when starting a world. It is made up of land and grass, with plants and trees. Being the main biome, it is the least dangerous. Below it is the subsoil.

The tundra is a snow biome located near the central forest, on the dungeon side. It consists of snow blocks, ice and boreal trees. You can find the plant Spinatemblor and instead of rain, it snows. Below this is the subway tundra.

Corruption is one of the possible evils that can appear in the world. It is an easier but weaker version of crimson. It is a dangerous and constantly expanding biome, infecting grass, stone, sand and mud. Shadowy orbs and demonic altars can be found in the caves. It can also be confronted by the world-eater.

Any area in Terraria that does not have blocks, grass or walls associated with a specific biome and that is above 0 feet in height and below 950 feet in height will be forest. Likewise, on large worlds, biomes between 0 feet and -2950 will be subway biomes by default.

Some biomes are related to a specific block type, i.e. the presence of blocks of that type in a specific area will determine the presence of the biome in that area. NOT all blocks have an associated biome, nor are all biomes associated with a block, below are summarized and exemplified which blocks and biomes are associated:

Note: The pink, purple and red ice blocks are NOT associated with the snow biome but with the holy, corrupt and crimson biomes, no matter how many of these blocks are used the snow biome will never appear. Because of this an overlapping of biomes can easily occur by naturally alternating these with snow blocks.

Each NPC has specific biome preferences that add to their happiness. They also need to be near other NPCs they like to get enough happiness to sell you pylons. If the NPC is not happy, they will not have a pylon in their selling inventory.

The system also takes into account possible overcrowding and adjusts the happiness levels accordingly. For example, if there are more than four NPCs in the area, all happiness bonuses for living with a beloved neighbor are generally canceled. Putting a single NPC in the biome they like will allow you to reach the threshold needed to buy a pylon. After that, you can place a single NPC they like near them and that should give them enough happiness to sell you the pylon for that biome.

Mastering the “Happiness System” and moving NPCs to stay in the appropriate biomes and near other NPCs will be crucial to obtaining these valuable items. Once you push an NPC’s happiness enough, they will sell you the pylon for gold.

Mushroom biome minecraft

This biome has been radically modified since Terraria update 1.2, it is almost entirely made up of ice blocks and snow blocks, these cubes can not melt, but you can plant acorns that you get in the snow blocks to grow trees, although the appearance of these will have a snow cover. Although it was a shallow biome with the new update it extended into the underground.

If you are near the Corruption or Holy, the stone and ice blocks will be corrupted but the snow will remain unchanged. If the amount of Corruption/Saint blocks is too much the background will be modified, otherwise it will keep the same normal background.

This “Biome” first appeared in terraria update 1.2, the background of this biome has the appearance of being made up of frozen water. It is predominantly composed of blocks of ice and snow, above and below these it is possible for stalagmites and stalactites to form, the water in these biomes can freeze in the surface layer and can break if it falls on it from a great height. In general, the entire surface of this biome is very slippery. One can also find “frozen chests” in some of which it may be necessary to obtain an “ice key” to open them.
