The twisted ones: an afk book

When they find their way into the old pizzeria, they discover that things are not as they were in the past. The four animatronic mascots have grown up and their patterns have changed. They now have a dark secret and a macabre mind in which terror and death are their priorities.

Since almost all of the guys live out of town, they take advantage of this reunion to visit the place where Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza (which is a Chuck E. Cheese’s type) was located to see what happened to the place after it was closed.

Five Nights at Freddy’s: The Silver Eyes is an entertaining and quick read that accomplishes its goal of unsettling you. It is the first of this saga and has already published its second part in English.

The series has gained great popularity since its release. Three novel adaptations, Five Nights at Freddy’s: The Silver Eyes, Five Nights at Freddy’s: The Twisted Ones and Five Nights at Freddy’s: The Fourth Closet, were released on December 17, 2015, June 27, 2017 and June 26, 2018, respectively. An official guidebook for the series, Five Nights at Freddy’s: The Freddy Files, was released on August 29, 2017 and an activity book, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Survival Logbook, was released on December 26, 2017. Blumhouse Productions is currently working on a film adaptation of the franchise.

The idea to create Five Nights at Freddy’s stems from the negative reception towards Scott Cawthon, Chipper & Sons Lumber Co, as gamers commented that the main character (a young beaver) looked like a “terrifying animatronic animal”, with critic Jim Sterling unintentionally calling the game “terrifying.”[2][3] Though initially discouraged by the comments, Cawthon, who had previously developed primarily Christian-oriented games, eventually used it to inspire himself to make something intentionally more terrifying.[2] The game’s release of Five Nights at Freddy’s, however, was not the first time Cawthon had developed the game.

Five Nights at Freddy’s: The Silver Eyes (original English title, Five Nights at Freddy’s: The Silver Eyes) is an American horror novel with mystery elements published in 2015 by Scott Cawthon and Kira Breed-Wrisley, based on the successful Five Nights at Freddy’s horror video game series. Cawthon considers the novel to be a canonical story that occurs separately from the events of the games. A sequel titled Five Nights at Freddy’s: The Twisted Ones was published in June 2017 while a third novel, Five Nights at Freddy’s: The Fourth Closet, was published in June 2018.

Therefore, as fans had claims that the book’s story conflicted with that of the games, Scott Cawthon responded that, “The games and the books should be considered separate continuities, even if they share many familiar elements. So yes, the book is canonical, as are the games. But that doesn’t mean it’s not meant to fit the pieces of the puzzle. The book is a recreation of the story of Five Nights at Freddy’s, and if you look at it with that mindset, I think you’ll really enjoy it.”[7]
